Description
3/15/26 - This is an excellent example of a Smith & Wesson Victory Revolver issued to the US military in 1944-45. It is all matching, and the top strap is marked "US Property" with "GHD" inspector initials and a military flaming bomb proof. The “SV” serial prefix indicates late-war production (circa 1944–1945) and denotes an improved hammer block safety design added by Smith & Wesson. This one has retained about 97% of its original parkerized finish with just the slightest hints of high edge and muzzle wear. There is some light spotty oxidation on the cylinder. The original grips are in very good condition but left grip has some dents and dings in it. The right grip is matching to the revolver, the left grip is unnumbered. The bore is bright with excellent rifling. 4 inch barrel. There is some sort of numbered rack number sticker on the inside edge of the trigger guard.
