Description
11/8/21 - This is an excellent example of the iconic M1 Garand, as produced in April of 1943 at Springfield Armory. The rifle is original and correct throughout except for the rear sight, which was likely replaced after the war. Serial and barrel date align and all parts are Springfield-made. It has the correct and original stock with E.McF inspectors mark (Col. Earl McFarland) and crossed cannons cartouche. The McFarland inspection mark is correct from June of 1942 to July of 1943. It also correctly has another ordnance wheel and circle P proof on wrist/underside of stock. The finish on the metal parts is original and generally in excellent condition, with some wear on the gas tube. Bore is shiny with strong rifling. Muzzle reading is a 4, throat is a 2-3. Stock has handling wear and some dings but no cracks or major chips.Specifications
