Description
10/27/26 - This is an excellent wartime example of a Walther PPK box magazine with a brown bakelite box extension. The magazine itself has retained a majority of its blued finish. The magazine shows some hints of high-edge wear, and there is some light thinning on the spine from use. There are a few very light surface scratches on the left and right side of the magazine towards the opening of the magazine as well. The left side of the magazine bears the Walther banner just above the "PPK" model designation and the "7.65m/m" caliber designation, which have retained a crisp and legible presentation. The follower has smooth travel throughout the tube and the spring has remained sturdy yet responsive. The brown bakelite base is all present with very minimal signs of damage or use. These box magazines are notorious for cracking and breaking on the back lip of the magazine box extension which usually leads to chipping and material loss. This example shows a small (~1/4") crack on the left side of the rear lip, though there is no chipping and no material loss. The bottom of the extension shows a linear separation going from front to back underneath, however this does not appear to cause any structural or mechanical issues. Overall this is an excellent example of a rare box extension PPK magazine.
