Description
6/9/26 - This is an excellent example of a Colt Commando issued to the US military in 19443. All matching with a US military "flaming bomb" proof on the left side of the frame. Chambered in .38 Special with a 2 inch barrel. It comes with a factory letter that confirms it left the factory with a 2" barrel and parkerized finish and was sent to the US Government at the San Francisco Port of Embarkation in 1943 on May 14, 1943. It has retained about 95% of its parkerized finish with honest high edge wear, muzzle wear, and some very light freckling on the right side of the frame. Fitted with period-correct reddish plastic grips - a couple of tiny chips on the bottom edge of the left panel. Minty bore. Comes as a rig with a very nice reproduction tan leather shoulder holster.
