Description
10/23/26 - This is an excellent example of a Utica M3 fighting knife and scabbard issued to the US military during WWII. The cross guard is marked "U.S. M-3 Utica," and the pommel is Ordnance stamped with the flaming bomb. The blade on this knife is in excellent condition, showing only a few minor surface scuffs, light runner's marks, and mild discoloration on the cross guard. The cutting edges are either totally unsharpened, or very-nearly so. The leather handle remains completely intact with no gouges or missing leather discs. The leather discs are still firmly in place and do not move. There is a few surface scrapes and handling marks, but nothing notable or unattractive. The scabbard is also in excellent condition. The canvas is unmarred and the sheath retains almost all of its finish, though there are scattered spots of very minor thinning, visible only under particularly aggressive lighting conditions.
