Description
1/27/26 - This is an exceptional example of an original Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammer, manufactured in 1912 and chambered in .38 Rimless. This one is in especially nice condition, retaining about 97% of its original high polish Colt bluing. There is just minor muzzle wear, some minor dulling/light brown patina on the back strap, and some very light surface scratches here and there. Bright fire-bluing on the small parts and screws. Fitted with period-correct hard rubber grips. Comes with one proper magazine. The bore is in excellent condition overall with strong rifling. There is just one small area of very light freckling around the muzzle end. This particular gun has a round stub hammer. It is our understanding that around 1908, the stub hammer was replaced by the newer spur hammer. So this hammer is a little early for a gun with this serial number.
