Description

7/16/19 - This is an exquisite Government Model Colt 1911, following the change of slide markings but before the transition to the 1911A1. The pistol is all original and correct with about 97-98% of the original polished blue finish. It has minor hints of edge wear, and a spot of finish loss on the underside of the slide. The straps also shows minor discoloration from age. The barrel is marked with small 'P' under the lug and has a mint bore. The grips are in similar condition. Correct two-tone magazine. The pistol comes with the original (unnumbered) Colt box, and even includes the original manual! Just an exceptional 1911 example with early Colt bluing that would be tough to upgrade.
