Description
10/7/26 - This is an extremely early Colt Police Positive Target revolver, chambered in .22 WRF with a 6 inch barrel. It carries an extremely early two-digit serial number, 88. While we can't confirm it, we believe it is likely the 88th Police Positive Target ever made. It has all the proper early attributes, such as the early high polish finish, the early Colt "surfboard" logo, and the early barrel legend. The gun is matching and has retained about 93% of its original high polish bluing, with fire bluing on the hammer and trigger. There is some light spotty wear on the grip straps, general minor high edge and muzzle wear, and some light scratches and marks here and there, most noticeable on the left side of the barrel. Fitted with the original matching-numbered hard rubber Colt grips. The matching numbers are very lightly scratched on the inside of the grip panels. It comes with a period-correct box (no number on it). The bore has strong rifling, but there is some minor pitting here and there. A rare chance to own one of the very first Police Positive Targets.
