Description
7/9/26 - From the collection of Tom Whiteman. A COA will be provided. This is an extremely rare Nazi Mauser Luger from 1936 that was part of a fulfilled military contract that was diverted to the police. It is estimated that only 200 such examples were produced, with only 4 reported as known/documented in Jan Still's "Third Reich Lugers" book. This one is all matching, has the proper "Eagle 63" military acceptance proofs, and has an installed police sear safety. It comes as a complete matching rig with a beautiful, mint, matching-numbered, tan leather police holster, two original matching-numbered magazines, and a police "Eagle B" marked tool. The gun itself has retained about 96% of its finish with general high edge/muzzle wear. While there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there is some very light brown patina and frosting on the grip straps and around the side plate. Fitted with mint un-numbered wood grips. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
