Description
2/19/26 - This is a factory nickeled Colt M1877 Lightning revolver that was manufactured in 1882, and is also referred to as the "Shopkeeper" model. This is much like the normal Colt Lightning, however for the "Shopkeeper" variation it was produced without an ejector rod for a smaller profile with easier concealment. Another difference is that the standard Lightning could have a barrel from 2.5 to 7.5 inches, but the "Shopkeeper" could only have a 2.5 to 3.5 inch barrel. This particular firearm comes with a 3.5 inch barrel. This is an all-matching revolver with the barrel and cylinder matching the frame. This gun has retained about 70% of its original nickeled finish with most finish loss being flaking and wear on the cylinder and some spots of corrosion on some of the high edges. This revolver is fitted with period-correct brown hard rubber grips. The bore has good rifling but a few minor areas of pitting. This revolver has proper lock-up and timing. No license needed for the purchase of this firearm.
