Description
11/17/25 - This is a very nice example of a First-Generation Colt Single Action Army revolver with a factory-nickeled finish. It also comes fitted with a set of beautiful real ivory grips (small chip in the bottom right corner). All the numbered parts are matching. There are two inscriptions on this gun. The back strap reads "Jack Kerwin to Harry Schneider, March 24 1891", and the butt of the frame reads "H.L. Cohen". Overall, the gun is in excellent condition for its age. The original nickel-plating rates roughly 85% with honest wear throughout and some small spots of light surface oxidation here and there. The bore is in great condition for its age - very strong rifling with just some minor frosting here and there. Fully functional. A Colt factory letter has been ordered and will be sent to the buyer. We did get a call from Colt Archives who told us this gun was shipped to JP Moore & Sons in New York on March 15th, 1883. No FFL required.
