5/15/20 - This is a near-mint Smith & Wesson Model 1917 revolver that was made in 1918 and issued to the US Army, as indicated by the United States Property marking on the underside of the barrel. Flaming bomb proof also present on frame. The gun has about 98% high-polish blue remaining, with a minor roll mark on cylinder, a hint of muzzle wear and a few small dings or spots of wear on either side of the barrel. The bore is mint and looks nearly unfired. Perfect timing/action. Beautiful case hardening on the trigger and hammer. Excellent grips with just a few small dings on the underside of the panels. The gun comes with an excellent and original holster with sharp Sears maker mark on the back.
