Description
3/4/26 - This is a very nice example of a First Generation Colt Single Action Army Revolver. It is all matching, has a 4.75" barrel, and is chambered in .38 WCF. According to the included Colt Factory Letter, it was shipped to A.F. Shapleigh Hardware Company in St. Louis, Missouri on August 9, 1897. The letter also states that it left the factory with a blued finish, so this one has a post-factory nickel-plated finish. There is essentially no actual finish loss, but there are some micro-scratches in the finish here and there and some areas of light pin-pricking under the finish on the grip straps. Fitted with black hard rubber Colt grips. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there is minor pitting and oxidation throughout. Fully functional. No FFL required.
