Description
9/19/25- For sale is a set of flares. Six of the flares are WW2 era ground signal flares designed to be fired from a rifle grenade launcher. They are still in their original cardboard packing tubes with factory labels. Five tubes have original packaging tape and are factory sealed while one is open and can be inspected. Three tubes were packed July 1944, two were packed December 1944, and one has no packaging information. The flare types are four Red Star M52A1, one Green Star M19A1, and one Amber Star M21A1. Because they are factory sealed, they are assumed to be live.
The second group of flares are three post-war red parachute flares for merchant marine ships. They are aluminum casings designed to be fired from a handheld flare pistol and have date stamps of 9/57 on the bottom of the casings. They are still sealed with a red wax paper covering, so they are assumed to be live.
A very cool collection of WW2 and Cold War flares that would go well with any collection of ammunition, ordnance, flare pistols, or accessories!
