Description
9/18/25- For sale is a German army winter fur hat. After the Germans were famously unprepared for the Russian winter of 1941-42, new winter gear was quickly developed and deployed in the fall and winter of 1942, resulting in non-standard winter hat patterns. This particular hat looks like a standard cloth field cap with fur lining and ear flaps sewn on. With the flaps unfolded, the fabric of the top of the cap is slightly different than the cloth of the flaps, and the Nazi eagle and swastika on the front are still present. A metal cap badge has also been inserted into the fur section of the hat so that the wearer is identifiable with the fur folded or unfolded. All the stitching is intact and tight and the fur is still soft and warm. Overall in very good condition.
