Description
3/23/20 - This is a rare RAD Hewer dagger. Overall an original piece in good condition. The original nickel-silver plating on all fittings are good, but there is some minor plating loss on the hand guard and pommel. The forged steel blade of this dagger also has some plating / finish loss, as shown in photos. This plating loss is evident on both sides of the blade. One side is maker stamped, and the other is inscribed in German. The RAD motto, ÄúArbeit AdeltÄù, (Labor ennobles) is etched in modified Old English script into the surface of obverse of the blade. The blade also has some light surface scratches and scabbard wear. The stag handle is secure with no chips or cracks. The scabbard has minimal paint loss, and there is a small dimple on one side, however it does not effect the insertion or removal of the blade. Priced accordingly. All original and authentic.Specifications
