Description

7/11/22 - This is an immaculate Colt Single Action Army revolver from 1972 with about 50% engraved coverage. It's a second generation example with faux ivory grips and a 7.5in barrel. Interestingly, the Colt archives had absolutely no record of this gun, which is rare for such a recent production. The bottom of the frame has a blank "scroll" design that would appear to be a placeholder for personalization but was left blank. So while it appears to be factory engraving quality, we can't say for certain. The hammer and receiver have gorgeous, vibrant case hardening and there's fire blue on the trigger and some screws. The bluing shows just a single, minor scratch on the barrel and the bore is minty.
