Description
1/27/26 - This is a gorgeous example of a fairly rare Astra Model 900 that was manufactured sometime in the early to mid 1930's. The Astra 900 was a pistol developed to take advantage of a large Chinese demand for semiauto pistols with shoulder stocks, following the massive sales of the Mauser C96 in that country. There was a loophole in the international treaty accords that stocked pistols were not considered military arms, so civil war in China had a huge market for arms that this variant was able to meet. There were only ~21,000 of these pistols produced. This one is matching and has a pre-Nazi serial number. It shows a beautiful deep blue finish with virtually no finish loss to speak of. Really nice fire-bluing on the small parts. Fitted with minty wood grips. Mint bore.
