Description
6/24/25 - While this Sauer 38h is not too pretty it would have a fine story to tell if it could talk. We picked this on up from the family of a Vet who had this gun along with a several small bags of parts, taken from the Sauer factory in April of 1945. GI guns and parts are far more common than these Sauer bring backs. The serial number indicates that this one was one of the last made. It has the distinct notches in the left side of the trigger guard and also has the complete matching serial number under the muzzle of the slide. The slide is nickel plated with lots of corrosion. The grip and magazine are blued with some corrosion but better condition than the matching slide. There are no slide markings, or proof marks on the gun. It functions well and has a clean bore with plenty of rifling.
