Description
12/2/19 - This is the finest conditioned example we've encountered of the Springfield M1C Garand. It is a Title X documented example out of Anniston Army Depot in Alabama, and was never sent to or re-worked by the CMP. Developed in late 1944, these M1C rifles were used by both the Army and the U.S.M.C. in the later days of WWII, again in Korea, and even into the early days of Vietnam until the development of the M21 and M40 sniper rifles. Most of the M1C rifles ended up being destroyed by the Army during the 1980s and estimates of only about 1000 M1C rifles were released to the public by the DCM or through Title 10 exchange programs. This listing is accompanied by the Title X document, as well as serial authentication by M1C expert, Dave McClain. The rifle is the nicest you'll ever come across, with mint stock, receiver, barrel and bore. Barrel is dated to August of 1951, and original cheekpad is dated to January of '52. Original sling is dated to 1952. Original M82 scope has only tiny hints of rub wear, and the optics are crystal clear. M2 marked flash hider is present. Scope mount is correctly numbered and matching to the receiver serial. Lesser examples have gone for over $12k at Rock Island before, and this one simply cannot be upgraded.Specifications
