Description
9/23/20 - This is a 1944 Walther P.38 , issued to the Nazi military. It is all matching except for the locking block, which is un-numbered, and has the proper "Eagle 359" Nazi military acceptance proofs. It comes with one matching magazine. The left trigger guard has a small "starburst" which we believe is an East German Police marking. The gun is fully functional, including the de-cocker, except the slide does not stay back with this empty matching magazine. If you switch the mag out, it works fine. This gun is interesting because it is dated 1944, but we believe it was assembled in 1945. It has a cog-style hammer. It has retained about 90% of its original finish. There is thinning on the front strap, minor high edge wear on the slide, and light scratching along the right side of the slide. Comes with excellent period-correct grips. The bore is shiny with strong rifling.Specifications
