Description
2/27/26- For sale is a nice box of Italian .303/7.7mm ammo in the original packaging. Italian aircraft machineguns like the Breda SAFAT 7.7 were developed to use common international cartridges, in this case the British .303 round, designated as 7.7mm in the metric Italian forces. The box contains all 50 original rounds, each one headstamped "SMI 937", indicating a 1937 date of production. The rounds are in the original cardboard packaging with a bluish-green paper outside and full Italian label. The box is stamped as having been manufactured on February 8, 193-, with the last number unreadable but the headstamps suggesting 1937. There is wear and mild discoloration on the packaging but it is entirely intact, holding all the rounds without any need for tape or careful handling. The label is 95% intact and would make a nice display piece for any ammunition collector. Overall in very good condition.
