06/05/26 - For sale is a Soviet Izhevsk M38 Carbine in the uncommon M38 Laminated stock. the rifle went through the usual post-war refurbishment. The metal has the dark/black bluing with light wear. The stock has a shiny varnish with some light scratches. Most M38's would get a M44 stock when it went through refurbishment. This example has an M38 stock (no bayonet cutout) and the laminate version are scarce. The bore is fairly bright with strong rifling. The lands are bright but the grooves are darkening. The rifle has matching refurbished serial numbers on the barrel shank, bolt, magazine floor, and buttplate. Import mark on the barrel. The cleaning rod is absent.
