Description
4/20/26- For sale is a WW2 K98 bayonet and belt set. The bayonet blade is blued with some light scabbard wear and two round markings that could be water stains. The bayonet is marked "42ddl" on one side and serialized 4484e on the other side. ddl corresponds to Joseph Corts. The scabbard is matching to the bayonet and has some wear and patina on the surface, including one dent on the back side near the tip. The bayonet has an intact frog and is attached to a full infantry belt. The belt has a manufacturer stamp but the leather is deeply worn there, making it unreadable. The buckle is intact and dated 1940. The belt also has an ammo pouch attached, dated 1937. There is also an attachment for a shoulder/crossbody strap on the belt. All stitching is generally tight and intact. Overall in very good condition.
