Description
07/21/26 - For sale is a Type 44 Carbine made by Koishikawa prior to the 1923 Earthquake. The carbine has a nice blued finish with patches of brown oxidation freckled throughout. The stock is clean with many surface marks. There is a hairline crack between the buttplate and the rear sling loop. There are also some chips above the trapdoor switch for the buttplate. The bore is fair with visible corrosion in the grooves. The lands are bright, but the rifling shows wear. The carbine is a complete mismatch of serial numbers. The dust cover is an original Type 38/44 example. The left front sight protector is slightly bent. The imperial mum has been canceld out.
