Description
7/9/24 - This is a late WW2 production 7.65mm holster for a Walther PP, Sauer 38h, Mauser HSC, or similar sized Axis pistol. The holster features a scarce "RBNr." distribution code stamp on the interior leather. There's not much information on these RBNr. markings other than this was a distribution code used by the Germans towards the end of the war (~1943). Most RBNr. stamped holsters found today are for the P.38, making this a rare find. Another interesting feature on this example is the herringbone pattern found on the leather belt loop. This suggests / confirms that the Germans were using scrap leather and whatever materials to produce holsters at the end of the war. The leather has normal pliability and use wear, with surface wrinkling but no major issues. All original stitching intact throughout as well. Measures about 18.3cm long and 13cm wide when closed. Steel closure knob.Specifications
