Description

7/10/24 - This is a Civil War era Socket / Spike Bayonet by Springfield. The bayonet blade is 18 inches long with an overall length of 21 inches. The triangular blade has minimal surface scratches and no notable dings or dents along the edges. There's natural, dark surface patina and aging throughout but great overall condition considering its age. The blade ricasso is clearly marked "US" with a smaller "S" underneath for Springfield manufacture. The original locking ring is fully functional and intact.
