8/17/24 - This is an excellent condition Erma-Erfurt LP34 Flare Pistol Rig. The rig comes with an excellent condition ersatz holster with minty leather shoulder straps, and an original cleaning rod. This complete rig was purchased directly from the family of the veteran who brought this home from the war. The flare pistol is duraluminum construction with a dark black finish that's about 97% overall. Typically these duraluminum examples had weak finishes that wore away easily, so finding an example like this is rare. There's minimal high edge wear and some minor wear on the front and back straps. Micro-scratching and handling wear throughout the surface. Matching numbered frame and barrel assembly. Fully functional with smooth, tight action and a clean smoothbore. Excellent brown grips with a sharp diamond pattern. The interior of the holster is ink stamped with a waffen military proof, maker, and 1942 date. Dark surface patina found throughout the cleaning rod, but the top of the handle loop is marked, "J42" and waffen proof stamped.
