Description
8/22/24 - This is a historically interesting and somewhat unique example of a WW1 production German Luger holster that was later used and embellished with WW2 original buttons and pins. The most desirable being a Death's Head skull on the right side of the lid, just above the magazine pouch. There are also Party Leader / Officer Uniform buttons, as well as a Hitler Youth emblem and DJ Pin. The pins are all original and in great condition; likely added by a WW2 Veteran along his campaign on the Eastern Front. The holster is in great condition - especially for a WW1 example. This holster also helps to prove that the Germans didn't waste anything, and were using WW1 holsters during WW2. The leather has normal pliability and is generally clean with some light surface wear on the closure strap. Fairly clean interior leather, with a maker and date stamp on the interior lid. The stitching is all original and excellent throughout. The backside of the holster has a crown/L depot / distributor stamp, and some light surface scuffs near the backside toe. There's also a G.I. added lanyard loop hole in the toe of the holster. This is small and doesn't affect fit or function. Overall a great conversation piece.Specifications
