Description
5/27/26 - This is a very nice late-war example of a Colt 1911A1 manufactured in late 1944/early 1945. This CMP rework is fitted with a Remington Rand replacement slide and a replacement barrel. This 1911A1 has retained roughly 90% of its original finish, with most loss presenting as high-edge wear and some muzzle wear. There is also a scratch on the serrations on the right side of the slide, and some light handling marks on the front strap. Additionally, there are two small spots of finish loss; one on the right side of the slide, just before the ejection port, and one on the top of the slide toward the left side edge. The bore in the replacement slide is bright with strong rifling throughout. This firearm comes fitted with period-correct brown plastic grip panels, which show no signs of chips or cracks. Comes with a Colt 8 round magazine. This Colt comes with a CMP hard shell case, CMP Certificate of Authenticity, and manual.
