Description
7/14/25 - This is a good example of a late war M38 German paratrooper helmet. Most of the apple-green factory paint is still remaining on the helmet. The exterior of the helmet has some oxidization throughout, especially on the dome. All four of the aluminum spanner bolts are attached and are unvented bolts. The interior of the helmet has the M38 liner system with all the pads intact. The metal interior of the helmet has one small section of patina in the front right by the rolled metal brim, along with "MAX VI" scratched into the metal which is slightly rusted. The leather liner is has some surface cracking around the band, and there are two small sections where the leather has either detached or has a hole worn out of it. The chin strap appears to have been cut out of the helmet and there are remnant pieces of the chin strap still in the helmet. Made by ET, leather size 56.
