SOLD -M1 Carbine Birch Stock

1/7/24 - This is an original M1 Carbine birch stock in Good+ condition with a darker brown finish. It is marked with the serial number "6208691" near the butt plate, likely indicating the rifle it was originally matched to. Below the serial number, it is marked "LW-B", signifying it was produced by Lumb Woodworking during World War II. The stock also features a small circle with a "1" under the pistol grip, which is a proof or acceptance stamp, and a small cross cannons stamp on the right side, indicating military acceptance. The "50" stamped behind the recoil plate may be a rack number or other form of identification. The stock has been filed down in front of the "50" stamp on the left side, indicating modification or fitting to a specific rifle. This is a collectible piece, ideal for M1 Carbine restorations, especially with its Lumb Woodworking marking and other military stamps.
