1/26/25 - This Colt Model 1911A1 slide is an excellent example of a WWII-era piece. Its excellent condition, clear markings, and inclusion of internals make it a very desirable collectible or restoration part. The left-side markings with the patent years and "Colt's PT.F.A. MFG. CO. Hartford, CT. U.S.A." are standard for wartime production, while the right-side "Model of 1911. U.S. Army" confirms its military contract origins. The "H" marking above the firing pin is a factory inspection mark often associated with WWII Colt slides, attributed to ordnance inspector Frank L. Hosmer.
