4/28/25 - This authentic U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) “Upper” Haversack is an early WWII production piece, marked BOYT 42 (Boyt Harness Company, 1942), and features additional markings, including E.F. Thomas 443. The USMC marking indicates it was issued to the U.S. Marines, making this a rare and collectible item for military gear enthusiasts. The bag is made of a lighter canvas color, typical of early production models, but it does show major stains throughout due to age and previous use. Despite the stains, the bag remains in good structural condition and retains its original steel hardware with a smooth finish, showing typical signs of wear. The E.F. Thomas 443 marking adds an additional layer of historical interest, although the last marking is illegible.
