Description
10/17/24 - This is a Japanese Type 30 bayonet made in the Matsushita Kinzoku KK Arsenal commonly known as National Denki Arsenal. The blade of this bayonet has most of its original bluing left. The blade does appear to have been lightly sharpened at some point. The sharpening begins about halfway up the blade edge. The blade does have finish loss that is associated with this sharpening as well as standard scabbard use. The blade is maker stamped on one side. The cross guard has a "O" marking under the muzzle ring (this is cited as a known variation in Labar's book). The pommel is serial numbered and proof stamped. The scabbard of this bayonet has a dent on the left side but still functions properly with a little more resistance. The scabbard has excellent finish with little wear.Specifications
