Description

4/9/26- For sale is a wooden ammo box for the Colt M1895 "Potato Digger" machinegun. As with many other machineguns, ammo could be loaded on belts that were stored in boxes that could be attached to the tripod or the gun itself. The box is all wood with only a few metal screws and an interior metal plate to protect the wood from the feeding rounds. The wood is intact with no cracks or scrapes. The exterior of the box is painted brown and the interior is bare wood. There are no visible markings on the box. Overall in excellent condition.
