Description

5/8/26- For sale is an M1898 bayonet for the G98 rifle. The very long and slender M1898 was the first bayonet introduced for the G98 rifle and provided excellent reach but was prone to bending and snapping if too much force was placed on it. The blade is generally bright with some spots of notable patina but no serious damage or evidence of rust. The blade is stamped "Simson & Co. Suhl" and has no date. The crossguard is serialized 19754. The wooden grips have light wear but no cracking or chipping. There is no scabbard. Overall in very good condition.
