Description

3/12/20 - This is an original 1943 dated K98 bayonet with a matching serial numbered scabbard. Ricasso & scabbard are stamped "43 CRS" on one side and "8978 c" on the other. The bayonet has a secure, hardwood handle with no cracks or chips. Some patina throughout the metal portions of the handle with minor use dings. The blade itself has beautiful bluing and minimal signs of use and no evidence of sharpening. The scabbard has some finish thinning and beginning signs of patina speckled throughout. Overall a very nice, minty collector grade bayonet.
