Description
08/11/26 - For sale is a K98k made by Waffenfabrik Brunn (dot) for the German Military in 1944. The rifle has a nice blued finish with slight greying from age and wear. The rear sight base shows some oxidation and pitting of corrosion. The stock had been sanded and has a shiny finish. The "dot" stamp is still visible on the bottom of the buttstock, and there is a faint Eagle H on the right side. The bolt body has a polished finish in the white, but the rest of the bolt is still blued. The bore is bright with good rifling. The rifle has matching numbers on the barrel, bolt, bolt sleeve, safety, firing pin, cocking piece, magazine floorplate, rear sight base, slider, ladder, push button, and both barrel bands. The magazine floorplate has an overstamp on the last 2 numbers. The forward barrel band and rear barrel band have 2 different finishes but we don't see signs of renumbering. Cleaning rod is absent.
