Description
3/6/26 - This is a very nice example of a M1921 Mauser "Bolo", manufactured in the late 1920's. The Treaty of Versailles, signed in 1919, imposed restrictions on pistol barrel lengths and calibers on German arms manufacturers. Mauser began manufacturing a compliant version of the C96 for commercial sale with shorter, 3.9 inch barrel. This one is all matching and "Double Crown U" proofed. It comes with its original matching-numbered stock. The finish on the lid is a bit different from the body, and there are a few repaired hairline cracks. The gun has retained about 95% of its original bluing. While there isn't much actual finish loss, there is light spotty oxidation on much of the gun. Fitted with excellent matching-numbered wood grips. The bore has good rifling, but there is minor pitting throughout.
