Description
3/20/26 - This is a very nice example of a M1921 Mauser "Bolo", manufactured in the late 1920's. The Treaty of Versailles, signed in 1919, imposed restrictions on pistol barrel lengths and calibers on German arms manufacturers. Mauser began manufacturing a compliant version of the C96 for commercial sale with shorter, 3.9 inch barrel. This one is all matching and "Double Crown U" proofed. It has what's called a "hatched barrel", indicating they later replaced with barrel with a longer 5.5" barrel. It comes with its original matching-numbered stock. The gun has retained about 93% of its bluing with general high edge wear, a series of small dings on the front edge of the frame, and some light streaks of wear on the underside of the barrel (common). Fitted with excellent matching-numbered wood grips. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
