2/10/26 - For sale is a "BYF 42" code K98k made by Mauser in 1942. The rifle is all matching and retains an aged military blue finish on the metal with light discoloration from oxidation. There is some light spotty surface rust where the receiver meets the barrel, with some finish wear on the bolt handle, barrel bands, floor plate, and trigger guard. The stock has the proper proof mark and is matching-numbered, but has been duffle cut. The stock disk and the butt plate show heavy discoloration. The wood is in good shape and has a typical amount of dents and scuffs for its age. The bore is bright with strong rifling. Cleaning rod is present.
