5/17/26 - This is an example of a Mauser Model 1914 that was used by the German Army during WW1, most likely issued to a German officer. All matching with an Imperial military proof on the top of the slide near the rear sight. The gun has retained about 85-90% of its original bluing with high-edge wear, muzzle wear, extractor wear, a bit of wear on the barrel, and thinning on the front strap. Fitted with a period-correct one-piece wood grip. The grip has a chip at the top of its spine. Bore is on the darker side but has strong rifling grooves.
