Description
10/7/26 - This is a Weimar-Era Mauser Model 1914 issued to the German police force. It is all matching and "Double Crown U" proofed. The right side of the frame is stamped "P.P.K.332," a Weimar-era Prussian police unit marking. Collector references most likely attribute "P.P.K." to the Polizei-Präsidium Köslin (police headquarters at Köslin, Pomerania), with 332 being this pistol's weapon number within that unit. The original finish rates somewhere between 85-90%, with the majority of the finish loss on the front strap, where there is also some oxidation. There are a couple of small areas of heavy pitting on the right side of the slide and frame. Fitted with a period-correct wood grip - some rounding wear throughout and some dings on the right side. Comes with one proper magazine. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
