Description
3/10/26 - This is an excellent example of a 'byf 43' code Mauser P.38 that was manufactured in early 1943 (January or February based on the serial number). This P.38 is all-matching with the correct E/135 military acceptances and Eagle/Swastika proof. This Mauser has retained about 94-95% of its original, dust-blue finish with most loss existing as high-edge wear. There is some thinning near the muzzle and light handling marks on the front strap. This firearm is fitted with period-correct, black bakelite grips with no chips or cracks. The bore has a bright mirrored finish with strong rifling, but does show some signs of frost in the channels. Fully functional, including de-cocker. This P.38 comes with two 'P.38v' magazines with E/359 acceptance stamps on the spine. This rig is completed by a WWII-era, 'jwa' marked P.38 holster bearing an Eagle/swastika over a 'WaA706' on the back.
