Description
2/15/23 - This is a very nice Mauser P.38 rig from 1943 with a cool and documented history. It comes to us directly from the son of the veteran who brought it back. He detailed what he knew of his father's service, and provided one of the original capture certificates, as well as photocopies of his discharge paperwork (he wanted to keep the originals). Pfc Robert H. Richmond was assigned to the 3rd Army 5th Infantry division, 10th regiment, rifle company F (Patton's Red Diamonds). His unit was the first to successfully cross the Rhine River, and they went on to take Frankfurt. The pistol is in terrific condition, with about 95% of the military blue remaining. The finish is original but the barrel is mismatched to the rest of the pistol. Minty bore and excellent grips. Comes with a total of two magazines, and an original 1943 hardshell holster.Specifications
