Description
3/10/26 - This is a very nice example of a 1939 Mauser 'S/42' Luger, which comes with an unmarked holster. This Luger is all matching, with the barrel, toggle, and small parts all serialized to the frame. This Mauser has retained about 94% of its original finish with most finish loss existing as muzzle and high-edge wear. There is an area of discoloration on the left side of the frame, just below the toggle. The front and back straps show signs of handling wear with some small dents and freckling. This firearm comes fitted with period-correct wood grip panels, though they are not serialized. There are no signs of chips or cracks in either grip plate. The barrel has a bright bore with crisp rifling. There is some frost in the channels, but some mirroring on the rifling. The magazine is a Star/K marked example that has been renumbered, likely at a police arsenal. Comes with a period correct leather holster, that shows no markings. There is a patch on the top flap that says 'T/S Arthur Gross' and 'Luger #4766'. There is some cracking and some holes primarily on the right side of the holster. Luger is mechanically sound.
