Description
1/11/19 - This is a Baby Nambu rig in minty 98-99% condition with two matched mags, holster and a cleaning rod. The gun was made at the Tokyo arsenal in late 1910s and shows just a few handling marks, high edge wear and minimal thinning on the grip safety. It is all matching, including two mags. Excellent grips without defects. The holster is in comparable excellent plus condition with no defects. It is dated and marked with the name of the Japanese officer inside the lid. The bore is shiny with strong rifling but there is some freckling toward the muzzle. The Baby Nambu was developed as a personal weapon for high ranking Japanese officers and only about 6,500 were made in total. Considered by collectors to be one of the most beautiful handguns made in pre-war Japan, it featured ornamental knurling on the cocking knob and high quality ÄúrustÄù blue, that rivaled European handguns of the era.Specifications
