Description
8/13/24 - This is a mint example of a WWII German K98 Bayonet made by Carl Eickhorn of Solingen in 1943. Scabbard is matching-numbered to the blade. Proper "WaA519" proof stamps on pommel. Maker marked and dated "COF 43", as well as serialized above the Ricasso and at the bottom of the scabbard. The blade has retained virtually all of its bluing, and the edge is pristine and unsharpened. Fitted with a minty set of wood grips. The scabbard is also excellent, just a few hints of thinning in a couple of areas. The leather on the frog is wrinkled and cracking slightly with age, but the stitching is remains structurally intact, and there is no major rips or signs of significant damage or repair.Specifications
