Description
5/6/26 - This is a minty example of a Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1940. All matching with the proper "Eagle 655" military acceptance proofs. It comes with an original "black widow" magazine and a photocopy of the original WW2 capture document that lists this gun by serial number. Close inspection of the document shows that a couple of a numbers in the serial number appear to have been written-over. The previous owner of this gun told us that the GI listed on the document (Frank Leo) was an old friend of his father's and is the one who brought this gun home. According to him, this correction was made at the time the document was created. The gun itself has retained about 97-98% of its original bluing. Nearly all of the wear is on the side plate, but there are hints of high edge / muzzle wear and a few tiny handling marks on the front strap. Fitted with mint un-numbered and "Eagle 655" proofed blonde wood grips. Excellent bore - very shiny with strong rifling.
